Come meet the Shpielmans – a Jewish family of toy figures combining extra quality with extra fun – perfect for children and appreciated by adults.

Beautiful Details that Promote Jewish Values

Each Shpielman figure, from the Zeidy and Bubby, down to the youngest brother Shmulik, glows with beautifully crafted facial features, lifelike expressions, and incredibly detailed clothing and accessories.   The Shpielmans’ design enables motion of their limbs, with the ability to grasp the Jewish themed accessories such as wine, challah, candles, washing cup, and more. The Shpielmans bring the warmth of a Jewish family into your home.

By promoting Jewish values and depicting various traditions within our religion, the Shpielmans encourage acceptance and tolerance.  The Shpielmans are created by GlattPlay, a NJ-based startup toy innovator. GlattPlay quickly recognized the beauty and vision for a new type of Jewish toy, based on the design of veteran toymaker Eytan Saboni.  GlattPlay’s mission is to produce high quality, educational toys starting within the Jewish world, with the goal to adopt its socially conscious toys for various cultures throughout the world.   The Shpielmans are the first of several families that will show aspects of typical Jewish family life and holidays.

Reactions to the Shpielmans

Yehuda Miller, COO of GlattPlay commented, “We’re committed to inspiring consumers to expect better toys geared for our children.”   Mr. Saboni, Chief Artist, added, “This is the first time a toy of such detail and quality has been created for the Jewish community.”

Mr. Miller continued, “GlattPlay intends to introduce other Jewish lifestyles as well.  Jewish families may be different, but we have more in common than we think. We hope our children will become more inclusive and less judgmental as a result of the Shpielmans.” Mr. Miller added that he feels these toys will appeal to secular, and perhaps non Jewish families as well, as they take interest in Jewish customs.

The initial reaction to the Shpielmans has been very encouraging. Yonason Schwartz, President of Chazak Distribution in Brooklyn, said, “My customers have never seen such a toy!  The attention to detail, definition, and reality in these toys is unparalleled. Everyone is so excited. Finally a quality toy we can relate to!”
