Nikki Haley’s received a superstar reception at AIPAC and was a clear favorite. She stride in saying “I wear heels,It’s not for a fashion statement. It’s because if I see something wrong, we’re going to kick ‘em at the UN”
Haley, has become a rock-star for the pro-Israel community ever since declaring on day one of her job as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations that she would be a champion for fighting bias against Israel.
On Israel Bias At The UN
“I knew they said it was bad, but until you hear it and you see it, you just can’t comprehend,” Haley said of the UN anti-Israel bias. She went on to say, “There’s a New Sheriff in Town..the days of Israel bashing are over,” at the UN, Haley vowed on Monday, to a rapturous applause.
On Nixing Top UN Position To Palestinian Former PM
Haley also discussed her nixing the nomination of former Palestinian PM Salam Fayyad to a top UN position, proclaiming, “until the Palestinians come to the table” to negotiate peace with Israel, “there are no freebies for the Palestinian Authority any more.”
On The UN Resolution Against Israel
On the Obama administration’s decision to allow a resolution critical of Israel’s settlement policy to pass at the UN Security Coucil. “Not only embarrassing, it was hurtful and America’s weakest point ever ”
On The BDS Movement
On the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions movement, Haley said that all she did was “tell the truth,” in reference to anti-BDS legislation she helped pass. Her state of South Carolina was the first to pass anti-BDS legislation. “We’re going to continue that and take that to the UN; they need to understand that this is not what we need to be focused on.”
