Amazing less than 80 years after the Holocaust.

This historical Chanukia is one of the oldest in the world, and throughout its 356 years has witnessed various times of immense pressure and great joy in the presence of great rabbis and leaders in Hamburg. It used to be the Chanukkia of Altona’s great Synagogue when Altona, nowadays a part of Hamburg, still belonged to the Kingdom of Denmark.
