(and ZEV) so of course only for my dear etana does the guestbook get filled up so fast! i know its my fault that i was out of town and didn't have the time to sign the guestbook until 5 days later- but whoaaa there are a lot of posts. ETANA!!!!!! my 18 friend! my class buddy!! when i heard while i was driving to ny about this great news, wow was i excited!!! can't say very surprised, but very excited! it was so nice spending a year with you in db, shabbos over shana bet, and visits during the summer. TATTI: Who's your's? after getting to know zev a bit these some here month's, i've come to understand that this question is not just a simple inquiry whose intent is to reveal the nature of the subject's paternal derivation. no, no. herein lies the underpinning of something much much deaper. a something so profound and so deep, that it finds itself at the debate table time and time again. unfortunately for those of you onlysimchas-post perusers that started to take interest, this has absolutely nothing to do with the matter at hand and i will therefore not discuss it now (do i here a "Thank G-d!" from some of our other readers?). what is the matter at hand, you ask? well, duh! AAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!! ETANA AND ZEV ARE ENGAGED!!! had to get that outta my system...i thought I'd post one in my own name, although anything I wanna say I can just say in person but EVERONE posts and if I dont itz like im mad at u or something which i kinda am cuz i havent even spent shabbat in etanaz apartment yet and now shez movin out? ok guys, so here is the real story of how it all went down. this is the truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me g-d... it all started a few days before yom yerushalayim. zev hecht recieves a phone call from his older sister miriam. miriam tells him abt this great great gurl, who is very pretty, fun, serious, and all those other attributes every guy wants in a wife. and to top it all off, she has red hair. this gurl learns in michlala with miriam in the english teaching program, and has recently had a hard time with shidduchim, as many ppl do. she was looking for someone smart and funny, but yet mature.miriam then replys to zev, its chaval that u arent serious, bc if u were i would introduce u to her. not only is she awsome, but she is also learning in bar ilan next year... the last part sunk in alittle bit, but zev just shrugged it off, thinking, yeah id like to be more serious, but its hard for me. time warp forward 2 days... its yom yerushalayim, and zev who was origianly going to be celebrating this great day sitting in his room reading some of his new books he had bought. { they were on sale, 3 books for 10 shekel, doesnt get any better that that} se yeah, zev who doesnt really have anyfriends around, being as he just finished the army, decides to just wander out into the crowd of ppl in the parade. by luck he meets some friends with whom he dances into the old city and to the kotel with. he prays, does his thing, dances a bit, then heads back towards town to retire to his reading in his apartment near the shuk machaneh yehudah. while walking through the "rova" he meets some old friends, and starts to play firsbee with them. frisbee is over and zev decides, its time to go. well now is when allt he magic starts guys, arent u excited?! it just so happens to be that during the course the this whole day etanas friends were trying to sell her off as a kalla, inorder to get shadchim rights, and well simply to get 3 shidduchim and by therefore have automatic acceptence to the world to come. as zev walks by, yael one of etanas friends, tells moshe, to call zev over and see if hes interested in there red headed friend. moshe approaches zev and askes him if he is looking for his "zevug" zev replays, im not looking, but its alwyas good to know the gurl of my future alittle bit early so i can get to know her. this random guy, being moshe sladowsky, zevs now apartmentmate in bar ilan university, brings him over to etana. zevs first lines were, " so, u wana marry me? etana repsonds " when?" zev replays, " i dunno 2 weeks?" etana responds, "how abt 6?" the both respond " deal" they start to talk, etana tells zev that she learns in michala and will next year be attending bar ilan. it all starts to click. etana has red hair, seems like alot of fun, learns in the mich.etana then asks zev, wait a second is ur sister miriam hecht? it all starts to click... zev says, " wait a second, ur the gurl!" etana replys, " and ur the guy..."

ok guys, you should feel privileged that i am actually visiting this website and writing something. I am not one of those onlysimchas stalkers, or a frequent visitor, but i guess i should get used to it, since we are getting to that age in our lives... anyway, i should start with a huge MAZAL TOV!!!! but i also can't say i'm surprised because i knew it was happening, with or without the ring, sooner or later. about the room though, ellie and i were thinking you could just stay in etanas room for the rest of the year and then you'll only be paying half of the rent, it would be a lot cheaper... only if you want to... now does this mean that ilana will be able to come to your wedding if its in january? now that i think about it a lot of other people will be able to come as well, perfect timing guys... ok, see you at home!

ok,the thing that says that its from raanan was actually written by shani sladowsky w/ some help from someone who wanted to be anonymous so they signed on as raanan(dont ask me why)and i dont think its fair he should get all the credit,cuz he wasnt even there!now this thingy here was written by me,yael sladowsky,who despite what you may think because of the way it was written only asked moshe to find out more about zev after she had said to etana "dude-you wanna marry this guy?" and between laughs (zev WAS being really funny on the phone with bex's person) said "yyaaaaaaaaaaaaa".so i called bex over and we went to moshe and i told them the plan and the 3 of us shouted at him at the same time asking himif he wanted to marry our cute little friend whose face was redder than her hair.then on the bus shani and i overheard those guys talkin about crazy(in a good way) zev hecht so i decided to do s/t about it.so i called really loudly to etana,"hey etana,that guy who just proposed to you,ZEV HECHT,..."and so basically it was all for etana and i basically replayed every detail of the story for the guys.then one guy says very loudly,"oh look,i have 4 missed calls from MY COUSIN ZEV HECHT so id better call him back"then he did and the 2 geniuses figured out that etana was etana...then we etana figured out that she went to school with one of the guys when she was like 2,cuz she thought he looked familiar.that has nothing to do with anything i just wanted to tell u all that.anyway its 1:38 in the mornin here and i have school tomorrow so i gtg.i just wanna say that its a good thing that i had that BRILLIANT idea because otherwise i probably wouldnt have been at etanas fake engagement party tonight.aka l'chaim.LOVE YOU etana...thanx for the mix -yael

THE CENSORED VERSION: I don't know how many people know the real story, the whole story, of How Etana and Zev Met. And you really have to know if you want to have fully lived your life, so here goes--here's what happened: Etana was really in the mood to get married, but it just wasn't happening, right? there's this whole group of us in the old city on yom yerushalayim and she says, "we have to find me a guy tonight." so we're like okay, no problem, and we start asking random ppl if they want to marry her, but they were all already married or their beards were too long or they just weren't interested in marrying some redhead they'd never met before. Anyway we come back up from the kotel and sit on the grass. Rebecca had to get back to school and her friend kept on calling her to bug her about that, which was really annoying, and see, there was this guy sitting on that low stone wall by tehb grass and someone, who shall go unnamed b/c I can't remember who it was, gave him the phone so he could harrass Rebecca's friend and she'd stop calling. Good plan, no? of course that started a whole conversation, mostly because yael texted moshe and told him to find out more about this guy, and it was discovered that he was 20, he was going to start bar ilan, he seemed kind of nice and funny and i'm sure he's gonna add a whole lot of other adjectives when he proofreads this part but anyway in short he was clearly, undoubtably and in all other ways perfect for etana. Although I don't know if I actually thought that at the time. Anyway, Yael or Rebecca, who would never forgive me if I didnt mention them both, came up the idea of asking him if he wanted to marry etana...i think moshe did the actual asking. so he looks over at her and says, "OK. Will you marry me?" "When?" "I don't know. Two weeks?" "Six." "Deal." And then everyone talks some more, and it is further discovered that etana knew his sister from michlala and they had half-seriously discussed the idea of setting etana and zev... at that point etana, yael, and I head back to b. s. for the night. to add to weird coincidences the guys sitting behind us talk abt how they spent the afternoon playing frisbee in the old city w/ Zev Hecht. This is too weird. It would have been nothing more than a good story if he hadn't been so pleased to have met his bashert that he got her number and they started talking, they had a first meeting, they finally decided to go out...and... NOW THEY"RE ENGAGED!!!!!
